Wie pflegt man Lederhandschuhe? Wie mißt man seine Größe?,UNIT Hamburg

Our Hestra gloves are of good quality. It goes without saying that the natural, excellently crafted materials need a little care from time to time. Our tips for extending the life of your gloves are easy to read.

The glove cutter determines the elasticity of each glove - for the perfect fit. After prolonged use, however, it is normal for the glove to stretch a little.
To maintain the original fit, simply pull the glove over the edge of a table. Hold the fingertips with one hand and the opening of the cuff with the other. Then carefully stretch the glove against the edge of the table with your upper hand. Start at the bottom of the finger and work your way up to the tip - preferably with four or five strokes.

Repeat this for each finger. Then use the same procedure for the thumb. The elasticity of the leather will restore the original fit.

Only the finest raw materials are used for the gloves. To ensure that they retain their original appearance, you should give your pair a break from time to time (moist natural materials wear out more easily than dry ones). A good habit is to wear them every other day.

Our glove leather is drum-dyed to give it a stronger, more natural color. However, this also makes it more sensitive to moisture or rain. If your gloves are exposed to excessive moisture, dark stains may appear - especially on lighter colors.
If your gloves happen to get wet, you can dry them at room temperature. However, keep them away from any heat source as the leather can easily dry out and become stiff.
For darker stains, use a soft cloth and some Taleum powder and rub the area gently.
The stain will most likely fade.

When you measure the circumference of the palm, the other measurements of the hand should be in proportion. The glove size corresponds to the palm of the hand, measured in French inches. Always remember to measure the dominant hand - the hand you prefer to use. A properly fitted table cut glove will be a little difficult to put on the first few times. But after a while it will fit your hand well. When you try on a new pair of gloves, bend your hand slightly upwards and make sure you get small creases at the knuckles - this will ensure that the size is right.

There is a secret to putting on a glove properly. Carefully pull it over your hand, alternating between the palm and the back of the hand, down to the wrist. Avoid pressing down between the fingers of the glove. When you take off your gloves, pull the fingers off at the same time.
If you follow these simple tips, your gloves will not only last longer, but will also retain their original fit.
